The main objective of The National Society of Fine Arts, a cultural society founded on March 16, 1901, is to promote and assist the progress of art in all its manifestations, to defend the interests of artists and, in particular, their associates, to seek to assist them, both morally and materially; to cooperate with the State and other competent entities in all that concerns national art and the development of artistic culture.
The associative bodies of the National Society of Fine Arts are The General Assembly, the Board of Directors, The Fiscal Council and The Technical Council. These will be constituted by the effective members, founders, owners and / or correspondents, who are in full enjoyment of their rights.
The National Society of Fine Arts will annually promote exhibitions of decorative arts, sculpture and oil painting, drawing, engraving, watercolour and pastel, architecture and decoration. The Society will also hold temporary exhibitions, both individual or collective, of work by its members along with an End of Year Exhibition of its students.
In addition to the aforementioned exhibitions, the Board will aim, whenever circumstances advise and allow, and on appreciation of the Technical Council’s advice, to carry out or sponsor such others that are deemed to be of interest for the purpose and objectives of the society.
The Society will organize its funds in accordance with the applicable, legal requirements and strictly for the purpose of rigorously and prudentially fulfilling its objectives and forecast activities.
